Evelyn R. Garberson

Evelyn R. Garberson, 92, of Catawba Island died Friday, November 23, 2018at The Chalet at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba Assisted Living. She was born December 6, 1925 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Stephen and Verna (Bykowski) Jarczynski. She married Paul Garberson on April 4, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Garberson retired from the Catawba Island Club where she worked in the kitchen and she previously was a waitress at the Ramada Inn in Fremont. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed flowers, birds, crocheting and quilting. Surviving are her daughter: Sheila (Mike) Schneider of Castalia, OH; grandchildren: Michelle Schneider and Eric Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Paul; sons: Mark, Rick and Terry Garberson. Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30-9:30 am at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where prayer services will begin at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father John Missler at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH 43452. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton will follow the mass.
