Eva Rogers

Eva "Jean" Rogers, 81 of Marblehead, died Monday June 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 9, 1926 in Tiffin, Ohio, a daughter of Robert & Evelyn (Shelt) Platt. Jean was a homemaker and an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Marblehead. She was a past president of the Women's Fellowship of the church and enjoyed running the church's rummage sale. She enjoyed refinishing furniture and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband, Arden whom she married on March 7, 1946; daughter, Pauline Boyd of Marblehead, and son, Bob (Julia) Rogers of Louisville, KY; granddaughters, Meredith Eva Rogers, Stephanie Donahue and Jessica Boyd; great-grandchildren, Michael Donahue and Lucas Donahue; and brothers, Paul Platt of Tiffin, and Ray Platt of Bascom. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Caudill, and brothers Harold and Robert Platt. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday. The Rev. Kay Cox will officiate and interment will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Home Health and Hospice.
