Eunice B. Hamilton, 88, of Elmore, Ohio, died Monday at her home. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on September 7, 1920, a daughter of Dewey G. & Lizzie B. (Dye) Smith. Mrs. Hamilton was a 1938 graduate of Fostoria High School, and was a member of the Genoa Christian Church, Genoa, Ohio. She enjoyed playing bridge, and was an avid reader and frequent library visitor. Until she was 80 and her eyesight began failing, Eunice enjoyed golfing on a regular basis. She was a member of the P.V.A., Tiffin, Ohio. On December 29, 1941, Eunice married James L. Hamilton, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1998. Surviving are her sons, James (Christine) Hamilton, Perrysburg, Ohio, Allan Hamilton, St. Peters, Missouri, Daniel Hamilton, Elmore, and Jeffrey Hamilton, Tiffin, Ohio; sister, Naomi Wirebaugh, Elmore; brother, Carroll Smith, San Luis Obispo, California; grandchildren, John, Andrew, Carrie, and Erin Hamilton, and great-grandchildren, Will and Leah. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery.
