Esther M. Yeagle

Esther M. (Mauch) Yeagle, 95 of Lindsey, OH died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, OH. She was born March 30, 1917 in Washington Township, OH to the late Hugo and Carolina Augusta (Kreienkamp) Mauch. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville, OH. She graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1935, then attended Davis Business College and worked as a secretary and for a tailor in Toledo, OH until she married John E. Yeagle on October 21, 1942. Esther spent her adult life as a farmer's wife, helping with what needed to be done and raising four children. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey, OH; Lin-Mor and Green Thumbs Farm Bureau Councils; Spreng Memorial Guild; Friendship Class; Washington Martha's, and the senior group at church. She volunteered at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH for 25 years. She was a member of the Sandusky County Women's Republican Party and served on the Central Committee. Survivors include her children: Michael (Kay) Yeagle of Fremont, OH, Donald (Deb) Yeagle of Lindsey, OH, and Jane (Jim) Garner of Elmore, OH; brother Chet (Betty) Mauch of Lindsey, OH; sister Marian Schroeder of Gibsonburg, OH; Grandchildren: Todd (Lori) Yeagle, Tonya (Nathan) Craft, Laurie Yeagle, Leslie Moore and Nathan Garner; step- grandchildren: Matt (Gina), Tim (Kristine), Robert Walters and Emily (Marty)Stoops; Great- grandchildren: John, Meghan, Abbi, Taylor, Michael, Carter, Lona, Lewis, Rylie, Payne, Grady, and Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, son Thomas Yeagle, and sisters: Jeanette Lorenz and Alice Ansted. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey, OH with the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. Memorial Contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or Luther Home of Mercy.
