Estelle Erickson

Estelle Lillian "Jackie" Erickson, 92, of Lakeside, passed away after a brief illness on Monday January 18, 2010 at Otterbein Northshore in Lakeside. She was born August 4, 1917 in South Wilmington, Ill, the daughter of John W. and Anna Stacia (Baber) Middleton. On September 21, 1937 she married John A. "Jack" Erickson and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1971. Jackie was a jewelry assembler for Island Magic Jewelry Company, a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Huldah Circle of the Church. Surviving are her daughter Barbara (Ray Sutton) Erickson of Port Clinton; sons James (Janice) of Jacksonville, Fla. and Richard (Janet) Erickson of Sylvania, OH; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jonathan, Jami, Michelle, Matthew and Kristen; 14 great grandchildren; a brother William "Bill" (Kaye) Middleton of Joliet, Il and several nieces and nephews in Joliet. In addition to her husband, Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jo Helen Chipman. Friends may call from 4 8 pm Wednesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Friends may also call from 9 am Saturday until services at 10 am at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, Ill. Pastor David Pennington will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet. Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein Northshore Retirement Center, Stein Hospice, Alzheimer's Association or the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
