Ernesto S. Reyes

Ernesto S. Reyes, 81 of Oak Harbor, OH died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born April 26, 1931 in Losoya, Texas to the late Enemancio and Lucinda G. (Sauceda) Reyes. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in San Antonio, TX. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 1952 during the Korean War. On May 22, 1954 he married the former Sara Mendoza and she survives. Ernesto retired in 1993 from Chrysler- Jeep in Toledo, OH. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, an Associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame in Toledo, and Vice- President of Guadalupe Society in Genoa and Oak Harbor. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Sara Reyes of Oak Harbor; children: Ernesto M. Reyes of Barrington, IL, Eduardo M. Reyes of San Jose, CA, and Diane R. Gonzalez of Oakland, CA; grandchildren Isabella S. and Benjamin E. Reyes. Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2013 from 2-7pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where a Parish Wake Service will begin at 7pm at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor with the Rev. David L. Ritchie celebrant. Committal will begin at 1pm at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, 5725 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH 43615. Memorial Contributions may be made to either St. Boniface Catholic Church or School.
