Emma M. Wilburn

Emma M. Wilburn, 96, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at Elmwood Skilled Nursing of Fremont, Fremont, OH. She was born in Carroll Township, Ottawa County on March 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Albert & Mattie (Hemminger) Rose. Emma was a graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School and was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor.

On July 16, 1949, she married Samuel J. Wilburn at St. Paul Evangelical & Reformed Church, Oak Harbor, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1988. Emma was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Pinochle at the Port Clinton Senior Center and with her family.

Emma is survived by her children, Kathy Bohacheff, Wisconsin, Carol Everett, Florida, Steven Wilburn, and Randy (Wendy) Wilburn, both of Oak Harbor; and daughter-in-law, Beth Wilburn, Pemberville, OH. Grandchildren, Emily, Daniel, Keith, Adam, Sara, Drew, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Eli, Samuel, Karly, Kacey, Carter, Miranda, Sabrina, Harper, Morgan, Quinn, and Cora. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Wilburn; granddaughter, Elizabeth Homar; brothers, Ralph, Frank, and Arthur Rose; and sisters, Luella Paulsen and Margie Winters.

Private family services will be held with the Rev. Darryl Hamm officiating, Interment will be at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
