Emily Carolyne Karshuk Kuzma

Emily Carolyne Karshuk Kuzma, 86, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday September 23, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor. She was born January 3, 1922 in Cleveland, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Hanes) Karshuk. On February 15, 1941 she married Joseph S. Kuzma and her preceded her in death on May 23, 1997. Emily formerly worked at Standard Products, the Erie Army Depot and retired from Uniroyal. She was a current member of the Faith United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the former St. Paul Slovak Lutheran Church. She was a 50-year plus member of the Harp Rebecca Lodge 223, and was past Noble Grand. She was a member of the Jr. Guild of St. Paul's, the Altar Society, the United Lutheran Society and the church council. Surviving is her daughter Connie (Roy) Rounds of Oak Harbor; grandchildren Michael (Bobbie) Rounds and Mary Beth (Kevin) Mylander both of Oak Harbor; great grandchildren Katelyn and Austin Apple, Noah Mylander and Chelsea Rounds; sisters Maryann Lublow of Sandusky and Betty Ann (Ed) Breyman of Fremont. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Andrew, John, William and Steve Karshuk. Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm Thursday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where funeral services will be at 11 am Friday. The Revs Ted Austin and Kurt Borows will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Healthcare Campus, Faith United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice.
