Emil Kozlok

Emil M. Kozlok, 91, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. He was born on September 4, 1916, in Braznell, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John and Katherine (Karshuk) Kozlok. On June 21, 1942, he married Betty L. Truex and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2008. Emil was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during World War II. He was a self employed painter and decorator with his brother, Frank. Emil attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton; life member of the Port Clinton VFW Post 2480; member of the Port Clinton American Legion Post 113; and a member of the Port Clinton Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1610. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, and fishing. Surviving are his daughter: Sandra (Otto) Geggus, of Perrysburg, OH; two grandsons: Eric (Carrie) Geggus, of Maumee, OH and Kurt Geggus, of Wyoming; great-grandson: Liam Geggus; sister-in-law: Phyllis Sampson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Andrew, William, Frank Kozlok; and sisters: Emily Genzman and Margaret Rosiar. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 12:00 PM at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, with Reverend Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery with military honors being given by members of Port Clinton VFW Post 2480. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Edgewood Manor Resident's Fund, or to Heartland Hospice.
