Elroy F. Genzman, 94 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1921 in Carroll Township, OH to the late George and Emma (Dunkleman) Genzman. On April 14, 1953 he married the former Imogene B. Hanthorn and she survives. Elroy was a lifelong farmer and was employed at Uniroyal in Port Clinton, OH where he retired in 1984. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor where he was recently given the Patriarch Bible for being the eldest living male member. Along with farming, he truly enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Imogene of Oak Harbor; children: Rev. Richard (Karen) Genzman of Galion, OH and Debbie (Steve) Railsback of Terre Haute, IN; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son Frederick Genzman, brother Willard Genzman, and sisters: Orpha Yeisley, Francis Offenburg, and Irene Genzman. Services will begin at 10am Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Stirewalt officiating under the direction of the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
