Elna A. Damschroder

Elna A. Damschroder, 89, of Elmore, OH was called home on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born November 26, 1924 in Curtice, Ohio to the late Carl and Lydia (Anderson) Lind. She was a 1941 graduate of Clay High School and attended Davis Business School. Elna retired in 1986 from the Toledo Trust Company following 42 years of service. On November 4, 1950 she married Calvin Damschroder at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Curtice, OH. Calvin and Elna were in western square dance clubs and enjoyed traveling the world together. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, where she was active in Ladies Aid and served on the Altar Guild. Elna enjoyed sewing, especially quilting. She also enjoyed football and was an avid Ohio State fan. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Calvin of Elmore; daughters: Debra (Wes) Barrett of Elmore, Marsha (Mike) Ettl of Toledo, OH, and Carla (John) Sidenstricker of Southside, WV. She was also deeply loved by her 7 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vandella Combs, brother Eldon Lind and grandson Cole Chesson. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 2:30pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, OH with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
