Elmer L. Reiser, 91, of Marblehead, OH died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born March 27, 1927 in Cincinnati, OH the son of George and Cecilia (Diesel) Reiser. He married Jean Trisler and she preceded him in death in 1999. Mr. Reiser was a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was a Chemical Engineer for Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati retiring in 1986. He was instrumental in inventing the Pringle Potato Chip and Crisco. He enjoyed fishing and he and a friend built a sailboat in Cincinnati and then sailed it to Sandusky taking 46 days. Surviving is his daughter-in-law: Pamela Reiser of Marblehead, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean; parents and son: Mark Reiser. Visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, July 3. 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Father James Brown will be officiating.
