Elizabeth R. Devanna

Elizabeth R. "Betty" DeVanna, 83, of Oak Harbor died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. She was born August 21, 1924 in Connersville, IN to the late Ernest G. and Catherine (O'Reilly) Roth. She moved to Ohio in 1945 living in Port Clinton. In 1969 she was employed by the Gordon Lumber Company General Office, Oak Harbor as a bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk. Later she was in accounts payable. She retired in 2002 after 32 years of service. On August 18, 1973 she married Francis "Ding" DeVanna of Bettsville, OH. She enjoyed her soap operas on TV, Bingo and occasional trips to Casino Windsor. She is survived by her husband "Ding" DeVanna of Oak Harbor; sisters: Emily Ward of Connersville, IN; Mary (Bill) Foster of Bellefonte, PA, several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step- daughters Marie Reyes and Debra DeVanna both of Fremont, OH; 2 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joseph Roth. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor with the family present from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Services will begin at 2pm Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either: St. Boniface Catholic School or American Heart Association.
