Elizabeth N. Hemminger

Elizabeth N. Hemminger, 83, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born in Memphis, TN on December 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Seymour & Bassie (Gentry) Morrow. Mrs. Hemminger was a secretary at the former Erie Army Depot, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and playing Solitaire. Mrs. Hemminger was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. On December 2, 1953, she married Leslie E. Hemminger, and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Gail Ruhlman, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Jeff and Amanda, and great-grandson, Johnnie. She was preceded in death by four brothers, and 1 sister. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Rev. David Tinker will officiate, and interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
