Eleonore Mohrhard

Eleonore Mohrhard, nee Mayer, 96, loving mother of Manfred (Annette) Mohrhard of Switzerland, cherished grandmother of Elly Grmek (Bruce) Lambillotte, dearest great grandmother of Veronica Marie, Adam and Aaron Lambillotte departed this life peacefully in her sleep August 28, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil in 1944 and daughter, Maria Grmek Commisso in 1996. She was born January 30, 1910 to Johann and Anna Mayer in Ingolstadt, Germany where she was raised. She wed Emil Mohrhard in 1933 in Friedberg, Germany, where she raised her family and lived until 1958. She immigrated to the USA on May 24, 1958. She took up permanent residence at Put-in-Bay, OH in 1970, where she enjoyed the love and support of many wonderful friends. Her happiest years were spent on the island. The family is especially grateful for the tender and loving care which was given to Oma during the past five years by the staff of Lorantffy Care Center, Copley, OH A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Sat. Sept 2, 2006 at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put-in-Bay, OH. where friends will be received from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, OH.
