Eleanore J. Johnson

Eleanore J. Johnson, 82, of Port Clinton, OH, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born August 7, 1924 in Port Clinton, the daughter of the late James H. and Carrie (Luchsinger) Bahnsen. She married Angelo M. Johnson on April 19, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2000. She was a secretary for Ohio Edison. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, where she was previously a Sunday School Teacher and former Sunday School Superintendent. Mrs. Johnson was a life master bridge player and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Surviving are her sons: James B. (Jean) Johnson of Sandusky, Mark D. Johnson of Port Clinton; granddaughters: Beth and Carrie Johnson both of Washington, DC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00-8:30 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
