Eleanore C. Paulsen, 84, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. She was born on July 17, 1933 in Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Waldo & Charlotte M. (Breitfelder) Lindemann. Eleanore attended Port Clinton schools, and worked as a secretary for St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Ottawa County Court House, and the Port Clinton Board of Education. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, and the Rosary Altar Society of the church. Eleanore enjoyed quilting and sewing, and was well known for the beautiful summer flowers at her home, even being honored as having the most beautiful porch in Ohio at one time. She loved babies of all kinds, and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. On November 22, 1952, Eleanore married William G. Paulsen, and they were married for nearly 57 years, when he preceded her on June 25, 2009. She is survived by her children, Barbara Rhodes, Teresa (John) Blodgett, Robert (Crystal) Paulsen, and Mary (Bruce) Witt, all of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Robert Rhodes III, Emily (Ted) Kotora, Elliott (Nakita) Blodgett, Ian Blodgett, Jonathan (Kendra) Foust, Greg (Lacy) Foust, Catherine (Ian Wallace) Foust, Earl (Stefanie) Witt, Elizabeth (David) Bear, Heather (Luke) Busnack, Hillary (Curtis) Cope, and Jeremiah (Jakki) Kleinhans; great-grandchildren, Juno, Esther, Evelyn, Ragan, Addison, Kolten James (K.J.), Corrine, Dia, Vivian, Benjamin, Simon, and 2 on the way; brother, Robert Lindemann, Toledo, and sister, Eloise Schmitz, Avon, Ohio. Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Joan Foust; brother, Thomas Lindemann; and a sister, Cecilia Lindemann. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor, with interment to follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
