Elaine Lucille Knopp

Elaine L. Knopp, 91, of Mooresville, IN, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, IN. She was born in Toledo, OH on March 11, 1916, a daughter of the late Henry R. & Angeline (Young) Treter. Mrs. Knopp was a homemaker and attended the Monrovia United Methodist Church in Mooresville. She was also a member of Waverly Chapter #573, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Rebekahs Lodge. Mrs. Knopp enjoyed crocheting, knitting, photography, and spending time at the Mooresville Senior Center. On November 12, 1936, she married Donald C. Knopp, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1982. She is survived by her son, Keith A. (Gerry) Knopp, Paragon, IN; daughter, Karen K. (William) Mau, Jacksboro, TN; and sisters, Kathryn Schroeder, and Marjorie Sondergeld, both of Graytown, OH. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kent D. Knopp, a sister, Lois Wehner, and a brother, Myron Treter. The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, IN, where Eastern Star services will be held at 7 P.M. Wednesday. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio, under the direction of the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, Ohio.
