Elaine Hendricks

E. Elaine Hendricks, 93, of Port Clinton, OH died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at The Chalet at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba. She was born July 9, 1924 in Arcadia, OH the daughter of Irvin and Sylvia (Hoffman) Semler. She was a graduate of Arcadia High School. She married Paul E. Hendricks on July 21, 1946 and after 65 years of marriage he preceded her in death on July 16, 2011. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH, Ladies of the Elks, P. E. O., Order of the Eastern Star, C.C.L. and she was previously active in Girl Scouts. She retired from Vita Plate Battery, Port Clinton where she was the office manager. After retirement, she worked at Port Clinton City Schools and The Ottawa County Board of Elections. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, traveling, genealogy, camping, reading and crafts. She always had a smile and stayed positive through everything in life. Surviving are her daughters: Barbara (Bob) Boebel of Catawba Island, Beverly McNulty of Fremont; Bonda (Tom) Young of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother: Lanny (Betty) Semler of Clarksville, TN; sister: Donna Kopp of Titusville, FL. and the amazing staff at The Chalet at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba who became her family also. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul, son: Paul Hendricks, Jr. and sister: Leah Bulkowski. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 am Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 11:30 am. Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader will be officiating. Private family burial services will be held at Catawba Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Chalet at Ohio Living Vineyard on Catawba, 3896 E. Vineyard Dr. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
