Edward R. Cihla, Sr.

Edward R. Cihla, Sr., 90, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. He was born Nov. 11, 1931 in Cleveland, OH the son of Edward J. and Beatrice (Geller) Cihla. He married Louise Szinai in 1961 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 1972. He later married Jean Koops on June 22, 1975 and she survives. Ed was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a computer technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH.

Surviving are his wife: Jean; son: Stephen (Debra) Cihla of Elyria; daughter: Susan Cihla of Port Clinton; daughter: Donna (James) Rice of Elyria; son: Mark (Cindy) Nichols of Akron; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister: Phyllis (Robert) Soinski of Seven Hills, OH and brother: Elmer (Patricia) Bilek of Macedonia, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Louise; son: Edward R. Cihla, Jr.; great-granddaughter: Darcy Rubino; sister: Ann Marie (Michael) Marchese and brother Gary Bilek .

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm April 22, 2023 with visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E.
