Edward J. "Jack" Walters

Edward J. "Jack" Walters, 73, of Vickery, Ohio died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on July 28, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Edward J. and Helen L. (Mason) Walters. On August 16, 1988 he married Fannie L. Bowyer and she survives. Jack was a diesel mechanic working for Signal Delivery in Findlay for over 35 years, (formerly Fruit Belt) maintaining the fleet of trucks for Whirlpool in Clyde, having retired in November of 1993. He was a member of the Athletic Club in Sandusky. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved to smoke meats and fish. He often volunteered for special events by having chicken barbeques at the firehouse in Whites Landing. Survivors include his wife: Fannie; his former wife: Emma Dell Robinson, Fostoria, OH; son: James E. Walters (Jennifer), Findlay, OH; daughters: Virginia "Dee Dee" L. (Herb) Conn, Upper Sandusky, OH; Jacqueline "Jackie" S. Walters (Allan), Mexico, OH; Melissa A. (Keith) Kauble, Wharton, OH; step-children: Stacy R. (Pete) Thebeau; Robert D. (Erlina) Bay and Cheri L. (Gene) Arnold, all of Missouri; grandchildren: Shae Culver, Sami Conn, Heather Frey, Kellie Smarr, Laci Martinez, Mitch Crawford, Ashley Toth, Ross E. Bay, Candice Thebeau, Peter Thebeau, Christin A. Thebeau, Matthew Bay, Justin Arnold, Isaiah Arnold, Dustin Bay, Tyler Bay; great-grandchildren: Blake Culver, Ava Culver, Ellie O'Flaherty, Ethan Smarr, Averie Smarr, Maximus Martinez, Kya Martinez, Oliver Toth, Shiloh Toth, Aubrey Thebeau, Noah Thebeau; and sister-in-law: Lillian Walters, Fremont, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: James R. Walters. Per Jack's wishes, there will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place.
