Edward G. Generous

Edward G. Generous, 90 of Westerville, OH died Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born July 30, 1933 in Brattleboro, VT to the late Edward J. and Addie (Woodell) Generous. He graduated in 1951 from Brattleboro High School and was a graduate of Norwich University, a military college in Northfield VT. He was an Officer and Tank Commander in the United States Army and served in the Army National Guard. On July 30, 1955 he married the former Joan Blodgett and she survives. Ed was an Insurance Risk Inspector for many years retiring in 1998. He was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Springfield, OH. He was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for many years and loved documenting the rebuilding of a real B-17 Bomber. He was also an avid photographer and handy man.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years Joan of Westerville; children: Lyn (Rich) Keiser of Oak Harbor, OH, Stuart (Mary) Generous of Greenfield, IN and Brad (Kim) Generous of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren: Sandra (Todd) Banky, Bryant (Stephanie) Whitcomb, Matthew Generous, Stuart Generous, and Vanessa (Mitch) Gusman; great-grandchildren: Sophia & Isabella Banky, Monica, Tyse, Trevor & Zachary Whitcomb, Thea & Nina Gusman.

Funeral Services will begin at 2pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel where the family will receive friends beginning at Noon. Burial will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. Memorial Contributions may be given to Capital City Hospice or The James Cancer Center.
