Edward E. Matthews

Edward E. Matthews, 50 of Genoa, OH died suddenly at his home Monday, June 17, 2013. He was born in August 16, 1962 in Warren, OH to Cecil E. and Betty L. (Crain) Matthews. He was a 1980 graduate of Lakeview High School, Cortland, OH. Ed was a Store Manager for Beck Enterprises, where he ran the Sunoco Gas Station in Oak Harbor. Ed had a wonderful work ethic and love to chat about the goings on with the store customers. Survivors include his son Robert Matthews of Rossford, OH; mother Betty Yauger of Cortland, OH; brother Jack (Debbie) Rathburn of Champion, OH; sister Jean (Aaron) Ensign of Howland, OH; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Hayden, Carter, and Chloe Matthews; special friend Tracy Wells; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil and sister Judy Damico. Services will begin at 7pm Monday, June 24, 2013 where the family will receive friends from 4-7pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. State Route 51, Elmore, OH 43416.
