Edward B. Hutchinson

Edward B. Hutchinson, 74 of Oak Harbor, OH died suddenly Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Fremont, OH. He was born February 12, 1944 in Genoa, OH to the late Harley and Gladys (Constintine) Hutchinson. He attended Genoa High School and entered the United States Navy serving for 11 years. On August 27, 1966 he married the former Jo Ann Hoff and she survives. Edward and his family lived in Oak Harbor for a number of years then moved to Ocala, Florida for a few years, then to Perrysburg, OH and recently returned to Oak Harbor. He served as a culinary chef for the Prison in Lowell, FL and locally at the Holiday Inn, Fremont and Alexanders, in Toledo, OH. He was a member of the American Legion Post #116 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #2562 both in Maumee, OH, Moose Lodge in Fremont and the Sandusky Conservation Club. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, especially about wars, and watching the Sci-Fi channel. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Jo Ann Hutchinson of Oak Harbor, daughter Kellie Cremar of Oak Harbor; step- children: David (Janet) Laughlin, Tom (Cheryl) Laughlin, Connie (Mark) Cannet, Sherry (Jim) Leech all of Oak Harbor and Ron (Anne Brown) Laughlin of Perrysburg, OH; 19 grandchildren, and 27 great- grandchildren. Services will begin at 1pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel with the family to receive friends beginning at 11am Tuesday. Burial will take place at a later date in Clay Township Cemetery, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County or the American Cancer Society.
