Edward A. Cochenour

Edward A. Cochenour, 60, of Danbury Township, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at University of Michigan Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1957 in Newark, OH the son of Hubert and Ruth (Harris) Cochenour. He married Veronica Snyder on September 15, 1984 and she survives. He worked for South Shore Transportation in the safety department for 31 Years. He was the Lakeside Fire Department Chief from 2003 2013. While he was chief he was very instrumental in the merger with Marblehead Fire Department and the formation of Danbury Township Fire Department. Following the merger he served as asst. chief of the Danbury Township Fire Department. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and he enjoyed fishing and wood working. Surviving are his wife: Veronica; sister: Deborah (Donald) Schneiderman of Arizona; sister-in-law: Linda Cochenour or Florida; father-in-law: Bob Snyder of Marblehead; sister-in-law: Donna (Sonny) Bozman of Lacarne; nephew: Brian (Rachel) Cochenour of California; niece: Elizabeth (Kevin) Shirley of Florida; niece: Ciara Bozman and great-niece Emma Shirley. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 am Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township following the service. Full fire department honors will be rendered at the services. Memorial contributions may be given to Danbury Township fire fighters Association or United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
