Eduviges F. Herevia

Eduviges F. Herevia, 83, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on March 1, 1929 in Edinburgh, Texas, the daughter of the late Jorge and Tomasa (Garza) DeLeon. On May 9, 1949 she married Jose Herevia and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1985. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton, where she was a member of the Guadalupe Society. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children: San Juanita (Earl) Burkholder, Port Clinton; Jose F. Herevia, Port Clinton; Celia (Mike) Chandler, Port Clinton; Arnold (Sandy) Herevia, Willard; Yolanda (Scott) Nemecek, Port Clinton; Jose D. (Loriane) Herevia, Jr., Port Clinton; Maria (Tim) Metcalf, Michigan; Nelda (Brian Cook) Alvarez, Port Clinton; Elia Elizabeth (Tammy Bennett) Herevia, Fremont; Gilbert (Tisha) Herevia, Oak Harbor; Mario L. Herevia, Brunswick; Michael A. (Shannon) Herevia, Defiance; Reynaldo Herevia, Lorain; Andy Herevia, Port Clinton; Ricardo A. Herevia, Port Clinton; Daniel (Alycia) Herevia, Port Clinton; 37 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Celia Erebia, Port Clinton; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 9:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will follow in Christy Chapel Cemetery, Portage Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
