Edna Verdena Dolph

Edna Verdena Dolph, 90 of Elmore, Ohio died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Genoa Care Center, Genoa, Ohio. She was born March 21, 1923 in Elmore to the late William & Carrie (Wendt) Wagner. On June 29, 1946 she married James R. Dolph and he survives. Mrs. Dolph was a homemaker and worked along side her husband in the family business, Dolph Oil Company, Elmore. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore where in her younger years, was involved in many church activities. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Elmore for 64 years and a 35 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in St. James City, Florida, where she resided during the winter months. She also held memberships in the Elks, Moose, and St. James Civic Association in Florida. In previous years she enjoyed bowling and golf, while recently she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and games of chance. Survivors include her husband of 67 years James Dolph of Elmore and St. James City, Florida.; children: Dennis (Susan) Dolph of Elmore and Pamela (Kermit) Miller of Walnut Creek, OH; grandchildren: Amy (Tim) Spieth, Aaron (Laurie) Dolph, Karrie (Brandon) Wood, Krystal (Nick) Hoffman, and Korrine (Dave) Morrow; great- grandchildren: Thomas, Peyton, and Jacob Spieth, Claire Dolph, Aidan Wood, and Ethan Morrow; and sister, Sharon (Wayne) Lemke, Elmore. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Darlene Dolph; sister Irene Messer; and brothers: Glen, Verle, and Lowell Wagner. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
