Earl E. Carry

Earl E. Carry, 73, of Elmore, OH, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, OH. He was born on December 28, 1936 in Marion, OH, a son of Russell & Alberta (Barnhart) Carry. On June 18, 1955, he married the former Marlene M. (Marge) Dodway in Jeffersonville, IN. Earl and Marge loved to travel and camp, and spent nearly three months on an Alaskan vacation several years ago. A master "fire-builder", Earl loved to spend time sitting around his creations with family and friends. He also enjoyed golf and snowmobiling. Earl was a mechanic for many years and operated E & M Auto Repair between Genoa and Elmore for nearly 25 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Genoa. Earl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marge; children, Kathy (Jamie) Louk, Elmore, Sue (Pat) Gallagher, Perrysburg, OH, and Bill Carry, Bowling Green, OH; brother, Donald (Liz) Carry, Republic, OH; sister, Ila Schank, Republic, OH; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rusty Carry, and a sister, Dorothy Grose. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Sunday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Cheryl Matla officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Genoa, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
