Douglas Raymond Alexander

Douglas R. Alexander, 65, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Providence Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born April 24, 1955 in Toledo, OH the son of Arthur Avery and Lois Jane (Jacobs) Alexander. Doug graduated from Eastwood High School and attended Bluffton and Bowling Green State University. He previously owned and operated Holiday Village Hotel and Charter Fishing Service on Catawba Island. He spent his retirement traveling and working for an expediting service. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, golfing and traveling. Surviving are his children: Chad Douglas Alexander of Catawba Island, Chris (Krystyn Baer) Alexander of Island Heights, NJ and his daughter: Isabella Alexander; Courtney (Jarret Barnes) Bergman of Sandusky and her kids: Deitrich Bergman, Dalton Bergman, Dylan Olivia Bergman Sydney Alexander of Port Clinton, Ryan Alexander of Port Clinton; siblings: Mary (Dan) Buchman of North Ft. Myers, FL, Virginia (Jim) Browne of Mesa, AZ, Allen (Diana) Alexander of North Ft. Myers, FL, Arthur (Mary) Alexander of Lewis Center, OH, Roy (Shari) Alexander of Orlando, FL; previous wives: Debi (Dan) Barlow of Catawba Island and Kimberly Alexander of Port Clinton. A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
