Dorothy M. Wargowsky

Dorothy M. Wargowsky, 82, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born in Williston, Ohio on November 7, 1925, a daughter of the late August & Emma (Siefke) Schwachenwald. On May 5, 1945, Dorothy married Carl H. Wargowsky, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2008. She assisted her husband on the family farm, and enjoyed feeding the birds around their home. Dorothy was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. She is survived by her sons, Charles Wargowsky of Oak Harbor, Gary Wargowsky of Fremont, OH; daughter, Karen (Larry) Lieske of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jason Lieske, Melissa (Jeff) Groen; Jessica, C. Brandon, and Carter Wargowsky; and great-grandchildren, Katie and Alexander Groen, and Hayden Wargowsky. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, and her foster parents, Ivan & Esther St. Clair. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Pastor Keith Hunsinger will officiate, and interment will be in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church.
