Dorothy M. Quisno, 95, of Catawba Island, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community, Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on August 5, 1912, in Portage Township, the daughter of the late Edward & Maude (Leggett) Kelly. On October 27, 1933 she married Carl Quisno, and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2000. Dorothy and her husband, Carl, owned and operated Quisno's Candy Company in Port Clinton from 1948 until 1971 when it closed. She then went to work at Green's Drug Store in Port Clinton. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Huldah Circle; member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Port Clinton, for over 50 years; and a member of an antique club in Port Clinton. She enjoyed family get togethers and inviting friends over for dinner. Survivors include her daughter: Carla (Carl) Rickel, Port Clinton; grandchildren, Scott (Kristin) Rickel, Brian (Marijo) Rickel, Erin (Jeff) Baker; three great-grandchildren; one niece, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, James Kelly. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams Street, Port Clinton, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Reverend Bruce Batchelor-Glader will officiate and interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church- Bell Tower Fund. Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
