Dorine E. Drake

Dorine E. Drake, 92, of Lakeside, Ohio died May 10, 2011 at Otterbein Northshore Retirement Village, Lakeside, OH. She was born Sept. 18, 1918 in Marion, OH, the daughter of Roy B. and Rose (Voigt) Leedy. She married Jack R. Drake on April 4, 1944 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1998. Mrs. Drake was a copy writer for Sears Catalog in Chicago. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and she enjoyed golfing and raising her roses. She and her husband enjoyed traveling during their retirement. Surviving are her sister: Oneda Helen McCune of Lakeside; nieces and nephews: Gale Crowder of Midlothian, VA, Robert E. (Kay) McGinty of Lebanon, OH, Marguerite (Dave) Blackburn of Downers Grove, IL, Nancy (David) Heath of Toledo and Brian McCune of Lakeside. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack; parents; step-mom: Margaret E. Leedy and sister: Rosabel McGinty. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Lakeside United Methodist Church where visitation will be held from 1:00 until the time of the service. Rev. Jerry Phelps will be officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Lyme Village Historical Society, Lakeside Vol. Fire Dept or the donors choice.
