Donna J. Hensley

Donna J. Hensley, 54, of Port Clinton, Ohio died unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born on June 28, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Orville and Orpha (Day) Hensley. She married Richard D. Ballin, Sr. on June 15, 2002 and he survives. Donna received an Associate Degree in Medical Coding taking online courses at Stanford University where she was also currently pursuing a degree in Accounting. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church, Port Clinton, where she and her husband Richard, taught "Kings Kids" religious classes. She enjoyed camping, especially at Mohican in Loudenville, Ohio; and crocheting blankets to give away as gifts. She was also an avid reader, especially any book written by James Patterson, and she loved her four dogs and cats. Survivors include her husband: Richard; sister: Barbara "Bobbie" (William) Long, Proctorville, Ohio; brothers: James "Bubby" Hensley, Medina, Ohio; Kenneth "Kenny" (Andrea) Hensley, LaGrange, Ohio; Kevin Hensley (Lisa Moser), Castalia, Ohio; step sons: Tommy Trantham, Texas; Richard "RJ" Ballin, Jr., Port Clinton; Chip Gordon Ballin, Lacarne, Ohio; nephew/son: James Hensley Long; nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Connie Sue Dowell. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton Eastern Road, Port Clinton, Ohio on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11am with Pastor Peter Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made out to Grace Baptist Church.
