Donald P. Catri

Donald P. Catri, 69, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home, following an extended illness. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on March 11, 1942, a son of Nicholas & Ruth (Witherall) Catri. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1960 to 1962. He was a member of the Bakers Union Local #19, Cleveland, Ohio, and worked at the former Grill Meats and Pick n Pay, in Sandusky. Don was an avid golfer, having scored two holes in one at the former Marinewood Golf Course near Port Clinton. He also enjoyed playing cards and fishing. On January 19, 1963, Don married the former Carol Wagner, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Nick (Tammie) Catri, Norwalk, Ohio, Bob (Karen Famolare) Catri, Port Clinton, Danny (Karen) Catri, South Attleboro, Massachusetts, Donny Catri, Port Clinton, Kathy (Dennis) Harrell, Marblehead, Ohio; brother, Chuck (Monta) Catri, Sandusky, Barb (Lou) Borowitz, California, Connie (Bill) Lippert, California, Ruthanne (Curtis) Bailey, California; grandchildren, Anthony (Jenilee) Catri, Cameron Catri, Alyssa Catri, Nichole Catri, Heather Catri, Brandon Fick, Christopher Catri, Kayla Harrell, and Brittany Harrell; step grandchildren, Lori Ross, Dustin Miles, Dennis Harrell, Jr., Johnny Harrell, Crystal Harrell, and Angela Diaz; great-grandchild, Haley Catri, 7 step great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Becky Catri, Sandusky. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chris Catri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday. The Rev. John C. Missler of Immaculate Conception Church will officiate.
