Donald G. Little

Donald G. Little, 89 of Elmore, OH died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born November 26, 1935 in Kalida, OH to the late Frederick and Anna (Horvath) Little. He was a 1953 graduate of Woodville High School, Woodville, OH. Following graduation. Don used his athletic abilities in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) Class D and spent the next few years pitching for the Chicago White Sox and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Don returned home. Worked briefly for Brush Wellman and as a Police Officer for the Village of Woodville, before making a career as a delivery truck driver and salesman at The House of Melnek, Woodville, OH. Don also enjoyed many years as co-owner of Elmore Recreation, Elmore, OH before returning to driving truck, this time over the road full-time and, after retirement, part-time. Don filled his spare time watching anything Ohio State Buckeyes and/or Detroit Tigers and his love of playing golf was second only to his love of spending time with his grandchildren/great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his children: Donald “Jeff” (Cindy) Little of Genoa, OH, Lorie (Allen) Lipstraw of Rocky Ridge, OH, Debbie Little of Woodville, OH, Patty (Jay) Neeb of Woodville, OH, and Robert “Bert” (Amy) Little of Genoa, OH; grandchildren: Jayme Little, Morgan Little, Dr. Brianne Little-Alhorn, Shane Little, Robert Kochran Jr.; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Tyler, Audrey, and Harper. He was also preceded in death by his brother Dr. John Little and his sister Marilyn Little.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 at American Legion Hall Post #279, Elmore, OH from 1 – 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
