Donald E. Kuhlman

Donald E. Kuhlman, 93, of Elmore, OH died Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Genoa Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born September 16, 1914 in Elmore to the late CJ and Carrie (Rothert) Kuhlman. He was a graduate of Howe Military Academy. On November 12, 1938 he married the former Freda A. Peterson and she survives. Don had driven semi- trucks and school bus, was a lifelong farmer and retired in 1978 as Maintence Supervisor for Woodmore Schools. He was a past Mason, and member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church for which he was a member of the Dartball Team. Survivors include his wife Freda of Elmore, daughters: Janet (Bruce) Gregory of Elmore, Joan (Thomas) Klopfenstein of Battle Creek, MI, and Jean Ann Holcombe of Genoa; Grandchildren: Lynn (Daryl) Crow, Hal (Mary) Gregory, Lee Ann (Newton) Horst, Tim (Christine) Holcombe, Kristan (David) Vanderhorn, Sharon (Rob) Christman, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Kuhlman, and sisters: Marian Brinkman and Lucile Garst. The family will receive friends from 2-8pm Friday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Stuhmer officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
