Donald Burt Kirsch

Donald Burt Kirsch, 87, of Put-in-Bay, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 16, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Burt and Cleo (Nichols) Kirsch. On August 23, 1957 he married Dorthy Stoiber and she survives. Donald was an Electrical Engineer working at NASA for top defense companies. He ended his career teaching at Columbus Technical Institute. He enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, working on clocks and computers, and was a collector of antiques, whether it be grandfather clocks or first edition books. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Alexa Kirsch, Put-in-Bay; son, Mark (Holly) Kirsch, Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Andy (Courtney) Blumensaadt, Alex (Christine) Blumensaadt, Caleigh Blumensaadt, Mitchell (fiance, Erika Wertenbach) Blumensaadt, and Carin Kirsch; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Blumensaadt, Norah Blumensaadt, Audrey Blumensaadt, and Caidyn Krumlauf; and sister, Anne Schwarz. Per Donalds wishes, there will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place.
