Dolores A Galway

Dolores A. Galway, 88, of Catawba Island passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born January 26, 1932 in Belleville, IL the daughter of Urban A. and Anna K. (Biver) Jacobi. She married Melvin “Jack” Baechle and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1987 and she later married Henry “Mike” Galway and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1996. Dolores was the Tax Commissioner for the City of Port Clinton for 17 years retiring in 1992. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, Elks Ladies Lodge 1718, Life member of Magruder Hospital Auxiliary and she enjoyed sewing and golfing. Surviving are her daughter: Patricia M. Kelley of Huron; sons: Kenneth (Roxana) Baechle of Coleman, MI, Richard (Linda) Baechle of Maumee, OH, Timothy (Shari) Baechle of Aurora, OH, Todd (Judy) Baechle of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren: Dawson (Julie) Foster, Tracie (John) Fetter, Tami (Chad) Rosin, Kyle (Kelly Raquel) Kelley, Ryan (Emily) Baechle, Ross (Rebecca) Baechle, Jake (Karrie) Baechle, Jenna Baechle, Leah Baechle, Alyssa Baechle, Mariah Baechle, Michelle (Roger) Vannest; 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother: Paul U. Jacobi; sisters: Sr. Joel Jacobi, Irma Hausmann, and Armella Touchette. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Jonathon Wight 10:00 am Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH followed by a private family interment service in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Immaculate Conception Church or Promedica Hospice, 430 S. Main St. Clyde, OH 43410.
