Dolores A. Avers

Dolores A. Avers, 92 of Genoa, OH and formerly of Elmore, OH died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. She was born February 24, 1920 in Pemberville, OH to the late Daniel and Helen (Hagemyer) Schroeder. She was a 1938 graduate of Pemberville High School. On October 19, 1939 she married Carl Avers who preceded her in death October 11, 1996. Dolores was a homemaker, but also worked for the Elmore branch of Eastwood Bakery, and retired from Tanks Meats, Elmore. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore where she was a member of the Fellowship Club. Survivors include her children Larry Avers of Elmore, OH, and Carol (Robert) Gay of Bowling Green, OH; 5 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by daughter- in-law Karen Avers. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Friday, January 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery.
