Diane L. Hammond

Diane L. Hammond, 66, of Elmore, Ohio, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at her home. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on August 8, 1946, a daughter of Donald & Delma (Stiffler) Fredrick. Diane was a graduate of the former Salem-Oak Harbor High School. She was a former member and past president of Cooley Canal Yacht Club and was an EMT, charter member, and officer of Mid-County E.M.S. in Oak Harbor. Diane was an animal lover and was a strong supporter of the Humane Society of Ottawa County. She was a manager at the Country Keg in Graytown for several years and was also an administrative assistant at Crosser Funeral Homes for many years. On December 11, 1971, she married Dennis L. Hammond, and he survives. Also surviving are her sons, Brian (Michelle) Hammond, Toledo, Ohio and Corey (Chelle) Hammond, Helena, Ohio; brothers, Myron Fredrick, Oak Harbor, Ohio, Dennis (Becky) Fredrick, Rocky Ridge, Ohio, and Dean (Cindy) Fredrick, Martin, Ohio; and her sister, Michelle Kreh, Akron, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Stephanie Hammond and Gregory Hammond. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronnie Fredrick. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
