Dennis W. Wolf

Dennis W. Wolf, 70, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. Denny was born in Port Clinton, OH on December 8, 1946, a son of the late William & Thelma (Bebow) Wolf. After high school, Denny joined the family business, Wolf & Sons Construction. He then entered the U.S. Army Reserves and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3, working at Camp Perry for many years. Denny was an avid golfer, and joined his friends at the Oak Harbor Golf Club as often as he could. He was well known for his custom golf clubs which he made for customers locally and around the country. In his younger years, he was a "pool shark", and won many trophies. An ardent supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Denny was also a fan of the Cleveland Indians. He was a member of the Marsh Club, Oak Harbor Lodge #495 F. & A.M., and American Legion Post #114. Denny's greatest legacy and joy is his family, which includes his wife of over 50 years, the former Pam Czerwiec, who he married on November 5, 1966; his children, Robert D. (Allison) Wolf, Kerry K. (Timothy) Velliquette, and Dennis W. "D.J." (Rosalinda) Wolf, Jr., all of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Emily & Grace Wolf; Justin, Kelsey, Paige, & Caiden Velliquette, and Dominick & Derek Wolf; and a great-grandchild expected in September. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, an infant granddaughter, and his brother and sister-in-law, Gary & Judy Wolf. Friends are invited to call from 2-6 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2017. Interment will follow at Roose Cemetery, Salem Township.
