Dennis R. Johnston

Dennis R. Johnston, 73, of Catawba Island and formerly of Willard, OH went to his Eternal home to be with his Saviour on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Metrohealth Glick Center, Cleveland, OH. He was born September 18, 1950 in Willard, OH, the son of Richard C. and Norma E. (Hatch) Johnston. He married Sherry Sharpless on October 6, 1973. Dennis was a machinist for CSX Railroad.

Surviving are his wife: Sherry; children: Christy (Michael) Thornsberry of Toledo, Stacy (Adam) Hale of Port Clinton, Joshua Johnston of Port Clinton, Lindsay Johnston of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Kaylee, Kelsey, Keirsten, Ethan, Alexis, Logan, Payten, Cadence, Tristan, Khaine; brother: Richard A. (Mary Ann) Johnston of New Washington, OH and twin sister: Linda (Michael) Bevier of Maricopa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Norma Johnston and great-grandson: Bentley.

Private graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 21st at Catawba Island Cemetery, 4997 E. Cemetery Road, Port Clinton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sherry Johnston at 3924 N. Haven Lane, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 for Upward Bound Ministries, reaching kids for Christ.
