Delbert W. Puckett

Delbert "Del" W. Puckett, 75, of Mansfield, Ohio died Friday morning, March 23, 2012 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born September 21, 1936 in Streator, Illinois. He served in the United States Marine Corps. On December 13, 1963, he married Constance "Connie" Franks. He was a former resident of Streator, IL, Sullivan, IN, Port Clinton, OH, Palmdale, CA, and most recently Mansfield, OH. He worked at Owens Illinois, Davis Besse & Metropolitan Transit Authority as a Civil & Safety Engineer. Del was a member of the Kiwanis and Lions Club. Del loved being with his family, playing cards, watching his favorite teams on TV and seeing his precious grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Connie, and children Susan (Mike) Dempsey, of Portsmith, VA, Pamela (Les) Lutz, of Terre Haute, IN, Todd (Ann) Puckett, of Oak Harbor, OH, Shawn (Leah) Puckett of Mansfield, OH & Kerri (Remy) Mathes of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, Sharon, Carol Jean, Richard, David, Michael, Ronnie and Randy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert C. & Marion (Stuart) Puckett, siblings, Andy, Wayne, Jim, Terry Lee, Mark Allen, stepson, Michael St. Clair, and great granddaughter, Madilyn Faith Lutz. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, from 4pm until memorial services at 5pm, with Pastor Clint Hayslett officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Disabled Veterans of America.
