Delbert L. Weng, 85, of Elmore, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born in Gibsonburg, OH on August 6, 1936, a son of the late Carl & Tracy (Myers) Weng. Delbert worked for Johnnie’s Electric in Elmore for many years and was the owner and operator of The Store grocery and carry out in Elmore. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves, was a firefighter with Harris-Elmore Fire Department, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. On February 11, 1961, Delbert married the former Frances “Fran” Damschroder, and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2012 after 51 years of marriage. Surviving are their children, Dan (Julie) Weng, Powell, OH, Lisa (R.J.) Cuva, and Patty (Cliff) Pinckard, both of Mentor, OH; grandchildren, Nathan, Traci, Ben, Alex, Rachel, Kelsey, and Halle Frances; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Merlyn (Jeannie) Weng, Elmore; sister, Darlene (Dan) Nehls, Longmont, CO, and special friend, Paula Benadum. He also leaves behind many other extended family and close friends. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Monday at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. S.R. 51. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 412 Fremont St., Elmore. Rev. Stephen Lutz will officiate, and interment will follow at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery.
