Deanna Jo Epke

Deanna Jo Epke, 54 reached her heavenly home Sunday morning, March 11, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo location. Deanna was born to Donald and Helen (Geldine) Epke on September 2, 1957 in Port Clinton, OH the youngest of four children. She was raised in Port Clinton and Graduated from Bowling Green State University. She later moved to Toledo. She also lived in Liberty Center for a few years before returning to the Toledo area to be closer to her friends and family. Deanna's special mission in life was caring for and loving babies and young children. Over the years, she cared for many children of her friends and family. Each of these children was dear to Deanna's heart, and she became a part of each of the families of the children she cared for. The children long remember the love and fun they had from this special adult in their lives. She was a gift to the parents of the children as well, for they could trust that their children received lots of love and attention from Deanna. Survivors include her father Donald Epke of Port Clinton; brother Dennis (Jamie) Epke of Ida, MI; sister Denise (Russ) Schifferly of Perrysburg, OH; sister-in-law Diane Epke of Missouri; aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen and brother Larry Epke. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR. 51, Elmore, OH 43416, and again Thursday from noon until the beginning of the service. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Funeral Home.
