Dean D. Burghard

Dean D. Burghard, age 66, died, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, of an extended illness. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on December 24, 1956, and was a life long resident, where he attended Prospect Elementary School, Appleseed Junior High School and graduated, in 1975, from Malabar High School. He lived his life on Hammond Avenue in Mansfield, but he also loved his time boating and fishing on Lake Erie, where he later spent much of his time. During his life he was an accomplished self- employed contractor until his retirement.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Gillman L . Burghard and his mother, Ruth A. Burghard, both of Mansfield, Ohio. He is survived by his sister, Ruthie Burghard Fisher and his two nieces, Melissa Hagerman and Melinda Sansom. He is also survived by his many life long, wonderful friends at Mr. P's Bar and Grill in Mansfield and his good friends and fishing buddies at The Skyline View Park in Port Clinton, Ohio. There will be no formal funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the local Heart Associations and also Dementia Friends Ohio in honor of the memory of our mother and grandmother whom Dean, Ruthie, Melissa and Melinda all loved very much.
