Dawnna M. Whiting

Dawnna M. Whiting, 64 of Port Clinton, OH died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born March 27, 1957 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Robert and Betty (Sarty) Wood Sr. She was a 1975 graduate of Port Clinton High School. In 1979 she married Darrell Whiting and he survives. Dawna retired from the Ottawa County Department of Human Services where she worked with the Child Support Agency. Her family was very important to her. Survivors include her husband Darrell of Port Clinton; sons Justin Whiting of Port Clinton, and Evan Whiting of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter Charlee Whiting and niece Kristen Wood. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Wood Jr. There will be no services at this time as cremation has taken place by the Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, Port Clinton Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
