Dawn R. Thompson

Dawn R. Thompson, 68 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away peacefully at her home under Hospice Care surrounded by her family. She was born August 24, 1953 in Toledo, OH to the late Rolf A. Mezger and Jean (Shufelt) Siferd. She was a graduate of MacCumber High School, Toledo. On July 26, 1977 she married Doug Thompson and he survives. Dawn was a licensed cosmetologist but truly took pride in being a homemaker. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and painting garden decorations. Her greatest passion was being “Meemaw” to her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Doug of Oak Harbor; sons: Andy (Angie) Thompson of Oak Harbor, Chad (Sarah) Thompson of Oak Harbor, and Brent (Mary) Harper of Stout, OH; grandchildren: Karlie, Douglas, Cody, Devin, Lilyanna; great- granddaughter Isabella; brother Mark (Renee) Mezger; and stepmother Beverly Duggan. She was also preceded in death by her brother Mike Mezger and stepfather Lloyd Siferd. There will be a time of gathering and remembrance announced at a later date by the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor.
