Dawn Marie (Grant) Atwater

Dawn Marie (Grant) Atwater, 30 of Oak Harbor died Saturday, April 16, 2011 as the result of a tragic circumstance that took her life and the lives of her 3 children. She was born July 26, 1980 in Oregon, OH to Russell M. Grant Jr. and Constance (Skiver). She was a 1998 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and was a State Tested Nursing Assistant. Her work for Stein Hospice left lasting impressions for families she helped during difficult times. She was a great cook, and truly loved being at home taking care of her 3 children. Dawn was the mother of Ashley, Isaac, and Brady; step-mother to Mandy Atwater. She is survived by her mother, Constance Grant of Millbury, OH; brothers: Russell M. (Sarah) Grant III of Woodville, OH, Brad M. (Jamie) Grant of Oak Harbor; grandmother Darlene Skiver of Oregon; great-grandfather Don Mulinix of Oak Harbor; nieces and nephews: Kaila, Olivia, Dylan, and Kaleb. She was preceded in death by her father Russell M. Grant Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11am at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor with the Reverends Keith A. Hunsinger, David J. Tinker, and David A. Voll officiating. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions for Dawn may be given to Stein Hospice or Dawn's family for a trust or charity to be named later.
