David R. Demeter, Sr. 75 of Marblehead, OH passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born February 14, 1949 in Cleveland, OH the son of Joseph and Gizella (Lakatosh) Demeter. He married Mary Ann Veverka on August 19, 1978. David was a fishing guide on Lake Erie for 50 years known as Double D Guide Service. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife: Mary Ann; son: David R. (Lisa) Demeter, Jr. of Catawba Island; grandchildren: Austin David Demeter, Kyle Joseph Demeter; nephew: Joseph (Cathy) Demeter and faithful companion dog Ginger. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joseph Demeter and Joyce Schiavoni.
